1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Travel Guide Seoul iOS app and its related informational website, published by Equilibriumpress.
2. Information stored on your device
The app may store favorites, interface preferences and downloaded editorial content locally on your device. Equilibriumpress does not operate a user-account database for these local favorites or preferences.
3. Location
You can browse the guide without sharing your location. When you choose a location-based feature, such as showing your position on the map or calculating distance, iOS may request permission to use your location while the app is in use.
The app does not request background location access and Equilibriumpress does not intentionally store your precise location on its own servers.
4. Updated editorial content
When a network connection is available, the app can download updated places, guides, walks and related editorial information from Notion, which provides the editorial content service. Like any internet service, Notion receives connection information needed to deliver that content, such as an IP address. The app does not intentionally send your favorites, precise device location, name, email address or a user profile to Notion as part of this content refresh.
5. Apple Maps and system services
Travel Guide Seoul uses Apple technologies including MapKit and can open Apple Maps for directions. Apple processes information needed to provide maps, location and navigation features under Apple’s own privacy terms.
6. Images, YouTube and external links
Editorial images may load from third-party media hosts, including Wikimedia Commons and official venue websites. The app may also open external websites such as official venue pages, Wikipedia, Wikivoyage or YouTube when you choose those links. Those services apply their own privacy policies.
7. In-App Purchases
Travel Guide Seoul may offer an optional one-time In-App Purchase called Seoul Full Guide. Purchases, payment authorization, billing and association with your Apple Account are handled by Apple through the App Store.
The app receives only the purchase confirmation needed to determine whether purchased content should be available. Equilibriumpress does not receive your full payment-card number, bank details or Apple Account password.
8. Advertising, analytics and tracking
The current version does not include third-party advertising or a dedicated analytics service, and it does not use third-party services to track you across apps or websites. Equilibriumpress does not sell personal information collected through the app.
9. Data retention
Locally stored favorites, preferences and downloaded content remain on your device until replaced, removed, deleted with the app or otherwise cleared by iOS. Apple and external service providers retain their own records according to their policies.
10. This website
This informational site is hosted using GitHub Pages. GitHub may process connection information needed to deliver the website. The site does not intentionally add advertising or cross-site tracking.
11. Children
The app is a general travel-information product and does not require registration or ask users to create a profile.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when app functionality, data sources, third-party services, purchase functionality or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
