Terms of Use

Last updated: August 17, 2026

These terms explain the conditions for using Autumn Atlas. They supplement the license terms that apply when you obtain the app through Apple’s App Store.

1. App Store license

Autumn Atlas is licensed, not sold. Unless a custom end-user license agreement is explicitly presented in App Store Connect, the app license is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Terms of Use supplement that license for Autumn Atlas and do not replace mandatory rights you may have under applicable law.

2. What Autumn Atlas provides

Autumn Atlas is a planning and informational tool that estimates when and where autumn foliage is expected. It combines seasonal models with weather, vegetation, land-cover, terrain, and geographic context.

The map, recommendations, best-viewing windows, confidence indicators, and alerts are intended to support planning. They do not guarantee visible leaf color, weather, access, safety, trail conditions, road conditions, or conditions at a specific tree or location.

3. Forecast limitations

4. Outdoor and travel responsibility

You are responsible for deciding whether a location is safe, legal, open, and appropriate to visit. Check local rules, land ownership, opening hours, weather warnings, road and trail conditions, terrain, wildlife risks, and emergency guidance before travelling.

Do not enter private property, restricted areas, closed roads, or unsafe terrain based only on information shown in Autumn Atlas.

5. External services

Autumn Atlas may request data from Apple WeatherKit, Apple MapKit, NASA GIBS, and other identified NASA datasets. These services are operated independently and may be delayed, modified, unavailable, or discontinued. Their use may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Alerts and widgets

Best-viewing alerts, background refresh, and widgets are convenience features. iOS controls their scheduling and execution, so delivery time and refresh frequency are not guaranteed. Always open the app and check current information when timing matters.

7. Acceptable use

You may use Autumn Atlas for lawful personal or professional planning consistent with the App Store license. You may not misuse the app or external services to interfere with networks, attempt unauthorized access, violate intellectual-property rights, or facilitate unlawful activity.

8. Intellectual property and data

Autumn Atlas contains original software and product design. Apple, NASA, map content, trademarks, and third-party data remain the property of their respective owners and are governed by applicable licenses and terms.

9. Availability and changes

Features, models, supported devices, datasets, and external-service integrations may change over time. We may update, suspend, or remove functionality when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, platform changes, product improvement, or service availability.

10. No warranty for planning outcomes

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Autumn Atlas and its informational content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise that forecasts, map data, recommendations, alerts, third-party data, or foliage conditions will be complete, uninterrupted, or error-free. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Equilibrium Apps is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on forecast or planning information, third-party service outages, travel decisions, site access, or outdoor conditions. Mandatory liability and consumer protections under applicable law remain unaffected.

12. Privacy

Use of location, saved places, local caches, widgets, alerts, and external data services is described in the Autumn Atlas Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the app, applicable law, or external services change. The revision date at the top identifies the current version.
