Autumn Atlas is designed to work without an account, advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking. This policy explains what information the app uses, where it is processed, and the controls available to you.
Autumn Atlas is published by Equilibrium Apps. Privacy questions can be sent to equilibrium.publisher@gmail.com.
Location. If you grant location permission, Autumn Atlas may use your current coordinates to rank nearby autumn destinations. You can use the app without granting current-location access and can search for other places manually.
Saved places and alerts. Places you choose to save, forecast snapshots, and alert preferences are stored locally using Apple system storage. A limited snapshot is shared between the app and its WidgetKit extension through the app’s App Group container so the widget can display a saved place.
Local caches. Weather and map/raster data may be cached in the app container to improve responsiveness and reduce repeated network requests. Cache entries are operational data, not an advertising or analytics profile.
Autumn Atlas does not operate a proprietary account or analytics backend. Features that need external data may send the requested coordinate, map area, date, place or search query, and normal network request information directly from your device to services used for app functionality:
Autumn Atlas does not authorize these requests for advertising or cross-app tracking. Where a service receives user-related data through an Autumn Atlas feature, it is used only for that requested functionality and is expected to be handled with protections equivalent to those described here, subject to the provider’s published privacy commitments, service terms, and applicable law.
Best-viewing alerts are optional and are scheduled through Apple’s local notification system only after you choose to enable an alert. When iOS grants Autumn Atlas background execution time, the app may refresh weather for saved coordinates through Apple WeatherKit without requiring you to open the app, recalculate saved-place forecast snapshots, store the updated results locally and in the App Group container, and ask WidgetKit to reload the relevant timelines. If you enabled a best-viewing alert, the app may also update the associated local notification when a refreshed forecast changes the expected timing. Background execution is opportunistic and controlled by iOS, so refresh timing and notification delivery are not guaranteed. The app remains usable when background refresh is unavailable.
Saved places and widget snapshots remain on your device until you remove the relevant saved place or delete the app.
Alert preferences and scheduled local alerts remain active until you disable the alert, remove the relevant saved place, or delete the app. Disabling an alert removes its enabled preference and cancels the associated local notification.
Caches are temporary and may be replaced or purged by the app or iOS. Deleting the app removes its local application data and caches from the device.
Because Autumn Atlas does not maintain a proprietary user-account database, there is no Autumn Atlas server-side account record to delete.
Autumn Atlas provides a modelled foliage forecast, not a direct observation of the visible color of every tree. Species, weather, drought, storms, elevation, local microclimates, data timing, and external service availability can cause real conditions to differ from the forecast.
Autumn Atlas relies on iOS application sandboxing and Apple system frameworks for local storage and on encrypted transport where supported by external services. No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Autumn Atlas is a general-audience travel and nature-planning utility. It does not create child profiles or operate an account system for collecting children’s personal information.
This policy may be updated when Autumn Atlas changes its features, data services, or legal obligations. The revision date at the top identifies the current version.
