These Terms of Use apply to Sakura Spots Japan. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
Apple licence terms
Your use of Sakura Spots Japan is also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement where applicable. These Terms of Use supplement those licence terms for the app’s travel information, Sakura forecasts, maps, editorial content and related services.
Purpose of the app
Sakura Spots Japan is a travel planning and sightseeing guide for cherry blossom locations in Japan. The app combines a curated editorial database with maps, photos, practical visit information and regional Sakura season guidance.
Editorial information
We aim to keep the editorial database useful and current, but destinations change. Opening hours, admission fees, access, facilities, restrictions, crowd conditions, transport information and other practical details may differ from information shown in the app. Check official local information before making important travel decisions.
Sakura forecasts and viewing periods
First bloom, full bloom and best-viewing dates are planning estimates. Sakura timing varies by weather, temperature, elevation, location, tree variety and local conditions. A regional forecast does not guarantee blossom conditions at an individual Sakura spot.
Forecast information may be revised throughout the Sakura season as newer observations and forecasts become available. Dates shown in the app can therefore change without an app update. Past, typical or regional information may be used when a current local forecast is unavailable.
Use forecast dates as travel guidance rather than a guarantee. Check recent local information before travelling when blossom timing is important to your plans.
Maps, locations and directions
Map positions, prefecture boundaries, distances and walking directions are provided for convenience. Coordinates and map data can contain inaccuracies. Directions may be supplied by Apple Maps. Always follow local signs, access restrictions, traffic rules, closures and safety instructions.
Photos and third-party content
Some images, source material and links originate from third-party or public sources. Where available, the app displays source or credit information. Rights in third-party content remain with their respective owners. Photos are illustrative and do not represent current blossom, weather or crowd conditions.
External services and sources
The app may link to Apple Maps, tourism organisations, forecast providers, source pages and other external services. We do not control their availability, accuracy, content, terms or privacy practices.
Availability and updates
Current editorial and seasonal content requires internet access. Content, features and data sources may be corrected, expanded, replaced or updated over time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or complete coverage of every Sakura location or prefecture.
Personal use
You may use Sakura Spots Japan for lawful personal travel and sightseeing purposes. Do not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access to its services or use it in violation of applicable law.
Travel and safety decisions
You remain responsible for your travel plans and decisions. Conditions at parks, paths, roads and viewing areas can change. Observe local rules, private property boundaries, weather warnings, closures and instructions from local authorities.
Limitation
Sakura Spots Japan is provided as an informational travel tool. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Equilibrium Press is not responsible for losses arising from reliance on changing travel information, seasonal forecasts, map information, third-party content or external services. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms as features, content or services change. The effective date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
